What inspired you to create Bootsy the Cajun Pitbull?

Bootsy was inspired by my real-life dog, she's a lovable, goofy Pitbull with one blue eye and one brown, full of personality and heart.

Can you give us a quick overview of your Bootsy books?

The Bootsy the Cajun Pitbull series follows Bootsy, a curious and big-hearted Pitbull, as she explores the world around her-always with a Cajun twist!

What's your writing process like-do you plan everything out or just let Bootsy lead the way?

A little bit of both!

How have the children (and adults!) responded to Bootsy's adventures?

The response has been incredible!

What's the self-publishing journey been like for you?

It's been a mix of excitement, learning and trial and error-but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

If Bootsy had a motto, what would it be?

"Be kind, be curious, and always follow your nose-especially if it smells like gumbo!"
